Baumatic hood manual

Loads of people have hoods they say are noisy with poor extraction. I would imagine in the majority of cases it's a faulty motor. It seems to be a fairly common problem. With the spare motor costing more than the entire hood, it's quite worrying if the thing fails when out of production. Customer service is poor when I tried to speak to them, line just rings and rings and rings until they hang up Engineers don't make appointments and when they finally do, don't carry parts.

I've been waiting 3 weeks now for a new fan motor! I purchased 3 Baumatic appliances for my new house. They were installed around July and came with 2 years manufacturers warranty. Afyter 4 months the double oven failed and Baumatic came out to replace a part that had shorted the engineer told me it was actually potentially very dangerous!!!!

If the product is going to be used in extraction mode, then there should also be space to connect a ducting hose to the outside. These should be removed and kept for future use.

If this is not possible, then a thick, protective covering should be placed over the worktop, hob top or cooker. This will help to protect these surfaces from damage and debris.

Cover that surface with a protective covering and place all cooker hood parts and fittings on to it. However a qualified technician must verify the suitability of the materials, in accordance with the type of wall and ceiling.

The wall and ceiling must be strong enough to take the weight of the hood. This appliance is designed to be surface mounted only. However the installation method shown is correct and MUST be followed. Fully tighten the anchoring screws into the wall. Connecting to external ducting 8 Connect the coupling to the top of the cooker hood, and then connect a mm ducting hose to the coupling please note that the ducting hose is not supplied with the appliance.

For each additional 90 degree bend, the maximum distance is reduced by a further metre. You should take care to position the tabs on the chimney section into the rear of the hood.

You must ensure that it is perpendicular to the hood. Insert rawl plugs into the holes and then use a screwdriver to secure the fixing bracket to the wall. Then secure the L shaped bracket to the wall, using the same method as you have just used to secure the lower bracket. Completing the installation If you are setting the appliance to recirculation mode, then you should now fit the two carbon filters. The electrical connection must correspond to the electrical requirement noted on the rating plate, which is placed inside the cooker hood.
